So now that I am back on track, with cables plugged in, here are a couple of my favorites of the couple…

Because the brother of the groom’s wedding was also in Oyen, the couple wanted something different for their photos and found THE best place ever…

For those of you who have been to Oyen, and thought that the triangle shaped building with the wood shingles was the museum – you were just as wrong as I was…

There are actually 2 parts to the museum – a whole house decorated with furniture from the time, and a huge building with little decorated sets, and old model T and a tea cart – that I am assuming a horse would have pulled at some point?

Anyway, WOW!  It was SO great!

Here is one of the model T, it doesn’t actually run, so all of the guys, and Camille pushed it out of the garage…  I promise I don’t usually make my second shooters work this hard…

I LOVE, LOVE this one, such a sweet moment…

This one was in the house – I just love the whole setting – the stove, all of the baking pans, and the baby clothes hanging on the line behind…

I just LOVE this one of the bride, just relaxed, watching the day unfold…  BEAUTIFUL!

Here is what I need from you…

1)  A picture of you, or your baby, or maybe you and your baby, be creative.  In the picture I want someone  to hold a sign saying what your favorite thing is about your kids RIGHT NOW!  What do you love most about them?  And just to make this more inclusive, if you are a soon-to-be parent, write what excites you most about being a parent…

Any home camera is fine, but as “in focus” as possible, please…  I know, picky, picky… but we do have to be able to actually read the writing…

It can be a child of any age, not sure why I said baby above.

I will be giving away print credits, session credits, and there will even be a couple bigger prizes – maybe a little album, possibly a canvas, maybe a free session…

The more people that participate, the better the prizes will get…  Everyone that sends in a picture will get SOMETHING.

All of the prizes will be related to future sessions though, so the only people eligible will be my clients.

If you are wanting to book a session for this fall, you can enter as well, but your deposit will have to be paid to be eligible.

Prizes will be drawn at random, probably by Quin.

Camille from Camille Elise Photographer came to Oyen with me to help capture this special day.  Back two years ago, when the grooms brother was getting married, I saw these two together and had wondered when they would be “tying the knot”.  I was so excited to hear from the bride, not sure I should be saying this, but I think it’s ok, because they are already married…  BEFORE the actual proposal…  I have to say that I was SO honored to be asked to capture another branch of the family.

So, without further ado… the ladies…

I just thought that this one was too cute!  Making faces in the mirror!

We had to mark the occasion of loosing a first tooth!  Quin told me that he hoped that she got “Two REAL gold coins” from the tooth fairy, I think that he is going to be seriously disappointed when he looses a tooth!

This is very different than what I usually do, but I am thinking about doing a day of fairy sessions in the fall…  Without further ado, miss fairy princess, dancing around her brother, in a bucket, it was the only way to keep him in the picture, he’s a fast crawler! 

The little Mr, oh so serious, and oh so cute!

And finally, a boy with his beaver…  (who’s name I won’t mention for obvious reasons…) (Yes, those reasons…)

It was great to see you, as always, and so wonderful to see how much your sweet baby has grown!

I can’t say enough good things – and big brother was so cooperative – it was much easier than at the maternity session, this time, he actually wanted to be in some of the pics.  He was so proud to be a big brother, or at least it gave him a chance to poke at his brother a bit…  not sure which. 

I just love how they are all so enamored with him!  Can you really blame them?

Child’s Play and Latte’s is just like it sounds…  a great place for kids to play and parents to drink coffee.  My favorite is the Mexican Cappuccino – yum!  They also have delicious, healthy lunches.
